After local accreditation, local BBN coordinators nominate relevant premises to be considered for the national awards.

After receiving a third and Best Bar None Gold plaque in the local BBN awards for 2014, being proposed for the national Heart of the Community category is the icing on the cake.

There are 10 categories

  3. Bars
  4. Independent Bars
  5. Hotel Bars
  6. Nightclubs

and five finalists in each and in the Heart of the Community category the five finalist are:-

  • Laings - Dundee
  • The Corbie Inn - Falkirk

Whether successful or not, just being nominated makes us one of the best five in Scotland. And, that's pretty good in itself!

But, the real winners are our customers and the local community in general.

Not forgetting our staff, of course, and all who have supported and taken part in all the different activities and events since first opening in 2011. Thanks to everyone for helping get us there!

The national awards are held each year in March and are a highly prestigious and well attended event.

This year the awards ceremony is being held at BT Murrayfield Stadium on the 26th March 2015.
