Corbie Inn earns its place in CAMRA’s Good Beer Guide for 2014
With just over a month to go to our 2nd birthday, on 28 October 2013, we are delighted to have been recognised by CAMRA (Campaign for Real Ale) for both the range and quality of our beers.
It was said by many at the time that having six real ales on the bar each and every day was ambitious especially in a town the size of Bo’ness. Were there enough lovers of real ale and good beers around to make it a reality?
But, we were confident in the knowledge that there were a good number of enthusiasts in and around Bo’ness to justify what many believed was a leap of faith!
Selection of real ales on the bar makes the difference
Being involved with the annual Bo’ness Real Ale Festival, it was clear by the numbers that attended for the two days, coming from far and wide, even from over the Flints, there were many who enjoyed real ale frustrated with the need to travel out of the town to get a decent pint!
Offering the option to taste and try one or even all six (you can get a taster before ordering) gives the opportunity for everyone, even those who had never tried real ale before, to appreciate the range of styles, types and tastes available.
Local pub, local brewery, local beers
And, having the Kinneil Brew Hoose attached to the pub, with one of their beers as one of the six, doesn’t do any harm either! Not only does the brewery brew beer but you can learn a bit about both the beers and how it’s brewed on a brewery tour.
But, although thanks must go to CAMRA for the recognition and inclusion in the 2014 Good Beer Guide the real thanks must go to all our customers, real ale enthusiasts and others who just pop in for a meal or drink as without you supporting us, none of it would have been possible!
Cheers to both you and CAMRA!
