Falkirk venues prove they are Best Bar None
Clubs, pubs and bars across Falkirk are celebrating after receiving official accreditation at the Best Bar None 2015 Awards ceremony.
The Corbie Inn is delighted to have been awarded a Gold Award again this year and to have been given the opportunity of hosting the Best Bar None 2015 Awards Ceremony.
Award Ceremony held in Corbie Inn’s new restaurant/function space Next Door
This year the event was held at the Corbie Inn, on Sunday 8th November and hosted by TV personality, comedian and chef, Hardeep Singh Kohli.
It marked the 8th year the awards have been held in the Falkirk area.
It was only the second time our new area, Next Door, had been used. The first was for a 40th birthday party the day before, 7th November. It was only finished on Saturday morning with a few hours to spare.
Both events had been booked months before and always seemed an eternity away but these things just creep up and bite you on the proverbial. But, luckily both seemed to go pretty smoothly which was a great relief for all concerned.

“Anyone looking for a good, safe night out should lookout for a Best Bar None venue knowing it has been through a rigorous accreditation process and demonstrated high standards across a range of important criteria.
“Congratulations to all the premises who have taken part this year.”
The Best Bar None scheme is sponsored by Diageo, Molson Coors, Heineken, Tennents and Maxxium and Chivas Brothers and is an integral part of the Safer Areas Initiatives throughout Scotland.
Accreditation to the scheme confirms the venue and its staff have met a level of standards assuring members of the public they will be able to enjoy a safe and welcoming atmosphere.
Licensed premises wishing to join Best Bar None are assessed by trained, impartial assessors and applicants are scored according to national guidelines.
A panel of judges assess the applications and confirm that all applications have met the required standard.
Venues are awarded either a Gold, Silver or Bronze award and an overall winner is selected in each category. Overall winners go forward to the National Awards.
The Corbie Inn won the Heart of the Community award at the Best Bar None National Awards in 2014/15 and four other Falkirk venues were shortlisted.
